A few of my friends and I are trying to start up a music review/photography online business, in which people from all over the world reviews about recent gigs/concerts that they went to. We then plan to hopefully start up a website domain and get photography (press) passes to arenas.
Basically, it’d help if you could give me some tips on how to write a good review for a show. And also if anyone could tell me a good camera to use for live music photography?

Ok well lately I notice I get this ringing in my ears, its always there …and I wonder if I may have some kind of permanent ear damage because I got it after the last concert I went to and it never went away. I work in a music store that play loud rock and rap music all day, and I go to hundreds of rock concerts that are so loud Im deaf afterwards! What could be wrong with my ears. My hearing is fine, better than average probably, its just the ringing.
I really wish to take my friend to one of their concerts for her birthday. Our options are to go to the one in San Fran, on the 21st, or in San Diego, on the 24th. Only problem is that I can’t find out anymore information about these concerts. I’ve looked for information on ETF’s myspace, no luck. Please can someone, who knows about, or is planning to attend, give me some information on tickets and ect… please. Thanks in advance.

What is the best (and relatively affordable) camera for live music shows avaliable? And also has anyone got any tips on writing good live concert reviews?

Try good old http://www.nme.com/reviews who recently revamped the site. Otherwise, try http://observer.guardian.co.uk/omm/ which is the site for the Music mag they do. It's updated once a month. Time Out are pretty good, and quite biting: http://www.timeout.com/london/music/. The BBC have quite comprehensive reviews too. For laid back stuff, check bigchill.net. For old media, you can't beat Word Magazine for non-hype reviewing.

A Beatles concert from the Cow Palace in San Francisco in August of 1964. This footage was
taken by a local news crew covering the story. There was no audio on the film’s sound
track so I substituted audio from the Hollywood Bowl concert from August 23.
(The exception is “Till There Was You” which comes from the Sullivan show of February 9.) Enjoy!
