i just wanted to know if its possible to apply the media information to songs you change in windows media player to the music in the my music folder? instead of having to go to each individual song and editing it? thanks very much for any help you provide.
well if the actual file themselves show up as tracks
like
Track 01
and on then i think you actually have to do that manually
unless theres an actual option that ets you ecit it using info of the internet
and yes there are ways that you can edit song info using windows media by simply right-clicking on any song or group of songs and using the Advanced tag editor option usually you can use the internet to retrieve song info from internet
although
make sure the library knows where to retrieve the song file from your My Music folder cus when your library tries to reach the song file and
you have tried to change the name of the song file then it will be like a missing file
This is a music video about the life of the common lowlands code monkey.
Jonathan Coulton is a singer/songwriter who releases his songs via the Creative Commons license, which enables projects such as this video. Through his “Thing A Week” podcast, Jonathan has put out a clever, creative song like this one every week for a year.
Mike Spiff Booth is a Program Manager at Adobe who though this great song really deserved a video.
Before you ask, since apes, goblins, and night elf receptionists don’t tend to interact much in the wild, I couldn’t only use captured game footage to make this video. Every frame of this video was composited together by hand using images captured from the WoW Model Viewer, WoW Map Viewer, and the World of Warcraft game itself.
No monkeys were harmed in the making of this film.

The song at the end of the video is “Big Bad World One”, another great Jonathan Coulton song.

So, I’m going to try to go to a hellogoodbye concert October 24th. I know most of the songs off their album. Does anyone know what the setlist will be?
Also, the ticketmaster information says that the concert will have Hanson, hellogoodbye, and guests Steel Train & Sherwood? The only one I know is hellogoodbye, are the other bands in the same genre as them or what?
Thanks; (:
Dude you don’t know who Hanson is? Remember MMMbop? Well they have grown up a lot since then, and they are amazing. check them out. Sherwood is crappy in my own opinion, and I haven’t heard much of Steeltrain.

LYRICS: (from the original and edited for content)
Ohh
Ohh
Oh
She was standing there by
The broken tree
Her hands are all twisted
She’s pointing at me
I was damned by light comin’
Out of her eyes she
Spoke with a voice that
Disrupted the sky
She said walk on over here
To the bitter shade
I will wrap you in my arms
And you’ll know you’ve been saved
Let me sign
Let me sign
Note: As mentioned in the above discription, this video features Rob Pattinson THE MAN and his music, not the character he portrays. Rob was doing music way before Twilight. (’I have been playing the piano for my entire life –since I was three or four and I used to play classical guitar from when I was about five to twelve years of age. Then I didn’t play guitar for years. About four or five years ago, I got out the guitar again and just started playing blues and stuff’. ~ Quote taken from “The Robert Pattinson Album” a biography by Paul Stenning.) His voice is reminiscent of the likes of Van Morrison and Jeff Buckley (two of his favorite artists), hence his raw, bluesy, folksy sound. Rob has a very soulful voice that touches you deep within….you can really feel it in this song….it gives me chills. I selected pictures of him not smiling, somber,….he looks like he has a lot on his mind. As far as the pictures of him smoking (don’t judge!)…..it just fit the mood of the song or at least my interpretation of it. I imagined him at the beginning where you hear this gritty guitar chord, having a smoke out back to take the edge off, before going on stage to perform and of course having one to relax after performing. He looks so James Dean.
Check out Rob’s other songs on YouTube. He has been recorded (unknowingly) singing in some clubs. Look for the following songs; “I Was Broken”, “I’ll Be Your Lover Too”, “To Roam”, “Stray Dog”, “In Your Head” and an almost full live version of “Let Me Sign”. Some recordings are clearer than others. My favorite is “I Was Broken”, he sings it with so much heart and soul!
As you may know, this bit was recorded specifically to be used for a scene (ballet studio) in the movie “Twilight”. However, it was not included on the soundtrack (or at least not the one that I purchased). My guess is that this may have been due to the track being so short and only having one verse performed. But again this is only speculation. I don’t think they knew at the time how powerfully moving this brief song would come to be. There is no longer studio version at this time. I hope someday Rob will be able to re record this song in it’s entirety. Truly poetically beautiful!
What does the song mean? Interpretations are subjective, but here is some food for thought. My take is that a person is so enamored with another that they would “sign” their soul over to the devil just to be with the object of their desires even if for just one night.

The following are the official lyrics to the original song written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long and can be found on their respective MySpace pages.
She was standing there by the broken tree
Her hands were all twisted she was pointing at me
I was damned by the light coming out of her eyes
She spoke with a voice that disrupted the sky
She said ‘ Come on over to the bitter shade,
I will wrap you in my arms
and you’ll know you’ve been saved’
Let me sign, let me sign,
can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.
I was out for a drink in a soho bar
The air was smoked out liked a cheap cigar
She rose out of her seat like a painted ghost
She was the woman that I wanted the most
As she reached for my arm I gave her my hand
I said ‘Lay me down easy let me understand’
Let me sign, let me sign,
can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.
As I walked through the door
she was still in my head
As I entered the room she was laid there in bed
She reached out for me all twisted in black
I was on my way down, never coming back
let me sign, let me sign,
can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.
let me sign, let me sign,
can’t fight the devil so just let me sign.

Like I don’t want to be a musician but I want to work in the music industry and I was wondering what kind of information would be good to know.
There’s a lot of jobs in music industry, i was working whit a band here in Mexico as the stage manager, or making edicion and production there is a lot to do in management. Is nice but demanding you can study edition or production an make a nice career.
I have my final thesis paper in one of my economics classes and the topic I am writing about is the "Music Industry." I need to know as much general and in depth data and information on the music industry as is possible. I want to know where I can find data such as revenue and profits from all types of formats. I especially am interested in demographic and medium breakdowns, along with anything else that has to do with data and money in the music industry. I would even like to know about individual firms and distributers and general macroeconomic data from firms and the entire industry as a whole. Where can I find all kinds of in depth info on the music industry?
I’d suggest getting annual reports from the record labels. You can either download them online or request they send to you.

i wanna start a small concert venue. like probably something the size of two medium sized living rooms or a small area of land if possible. what kind of licenses do i need and what are some good suggestions for places i could rent out. storage? garages? any ideas and info would help a lot. thanks.
Go to City Hall and look for the Industrial areas. That is where there are few restrictions on noise and crowds. Otherwise you have to go to rural areas where the zoning is for farms. The chance of bothering anyone is lower.
Forget the barn. Buy or build a small stage. Make it portable. Electricity will be a problem but you can buy a couple of generators if you are in the country.
You might not need any license but you might have to pay city or state sales tax on tickets. That does not take much time to arrange.
Then hire the bands and you are in business.
