Arnel Pineda received perfect 10 from concert blast review of Journey’s live concert in Tennessee.
JOURNEY / CHEAP TRICK THRILLS NASHVILLE!
It was Thursday August 7th 2008 when Mike, Brian, and Tom enjoyed the invitation from Journey to review the Journey / Cheap Trick concert as the tour makes their stop in Nashville, TN. This was one show we were looking forward to cover for two reasons. 1) We are huge fans of Cheap Trick. 2) Although we are fans of Journeys music, we really didnt know what to expect with their new front man, Arnel Pineda. Arnel proved himself to be the best front man Journey has had since Steve Perry left the band. Not only did his vocals shine, but his energy proved to be exactly what Journey had been missing to make the band the excellent live act they were capable of being. Listen to our concert review of the night as we step though the setlist of Journey and Cheap Trick. If you have a chance to see this tour, dont hesitate!

He just turned 42 last month…mentioned on stage at their Vegas concert with Neal Schon playing the”Happy Birthday” tune with his electric guitar!

im going to say something a lot of people wont believe im confident this guy sounds bette than steve perry in concert. The reason I say this is because I saw journey with steve perry in the 80s 2 nights in a row and perry was awesome and great in the studio but in concert he skipped every high note. not anything like the record so if arnel can actualy hit the nores in concert hes better. crazy huh? steve perry got proud see what happens.
